Having truffle thinking of a dessert or sweet treat to make in your spare time?! These are straightforward, yummy and contain every day ingredients. They’re also vegan, so even your herbivore friends can tuck in. You can also do variations with this such as rolling them in desiccated coconut, roasted flaked almonds or raw cacao.
These make roughly 18 small truffles.
- 1 packet Oreos
- 4 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
- 2 tsp golden syrup
- 100g 85% dark chocolate (containing no milk)
- Edible gold dust
Crush Oreos into a fine consistency. Melt peanut butter in the microwave and stir into Oreo mix along with the golden syrup. Combine well.
Mould the Oreo mixture into small balls using your hands (3/4 the size of a golf ball). Melt dark chocolate in separate bowl.
Drop into bowl of melted chocolate. Using two spoons, roll the ball so that is is fully coated. Transfer to tray lined with parchment paper. Repeat with rest of mixture.
Sprinkle the truffles with the gold dust and transfer to fridge. Leave to set for 1 hour.
Be careful nor to leave them in room temperature !!
